January 2015, Kuala Lumpur - The prestigious Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (“KLGCC”) has made two key appointments to further enhance the Club’s role in delivering world class service to the Club’s members and guests.

Farroul Hossey has assumed the role of Club Manager after serving over three years managing KLGCC’s Golf Operations. Farroul who took over the role from Shahril Jeffry Mohd Zaini and oversees Security, Corporate Golf, Facilities, Housekeeping, Sports and Recreation as well as Golf Operations at KLGCC.

Farroul who joined KLGCC in 2012 has been successfully working on major international and national tournaments held at KLGCC like the Maybank Malaysian Open, Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia and the CIMB Classic just to name a few. Farroul who is 35; has a collective experience in the golf industry of over 10 years.

Farroul’s passion for golf began at the age of 13 thanks to his father and older brother who were avid golfers then. He then went to the US to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Golf Management at Professional Golfers Career College in Southern California.

In 2004, Farroul was offered his first job at a golf club by Pulai Springs Golf & Country Club, Johor Bahru. He worked as a Management Trainee and within one year, he was promoted to Executive and again promoted to Assistant Golf Manager in the following year. Farroul then moved on to Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam, Selangor in 2011. He headed the Golf Department which also made him the youngest Golf Manager back then.

Another new appointment is Ramiriz Osman, who assumes the role as Acting Food & Beverage Manager from Roslan Osman. Throughout his 20 plus years in the service and hospitality industry, Ramiriz has served diners from the most casual to dignitaries and royalties. Ramiriz spent 14 years at Sunway Resort and Hotel and five years at Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur before joining KLGCC’s Banqueting Operations team in 2011. Ramiriz’s wealth of experience has given him the edge to work closely with Executive Chef Arnold Kwok in all aspects of the Club’s food and beverage operations.

Both Farroul and Ramiriz report to KLGCC’s General Manager, Steven Thielke who strongly believes in the development and promotion of internal talent. He said Farroul and Ramiriz are true testaments of a win-win situation for the employees and the club because they are already familiar with the club’s day to day operations. We trust they have the potential to thrive and exceed the expectations of KLGCC’s diverse community of members and guests moving forward.
