Aroeira has confirmed its reputation as one of Portugal’s best golf venues after receiving a top accolade in the latest ‘Leading Courses’ Golfers Choice’ rankings.
The popular 36-hole venue, which is set just 20 minutes south of Lisbon and is part of the innovative ORIZONTE - Lisbon Golf group - was awarded a ‘Recommended Certificate’ for 2015 by top Dutch website Leadingcourses.com.
Tagged as ‘by golfers for golfers’, the Netherlands-based site produces its rankings based on the opinions of golfers - with more than 200,000 reviews of golf courses, in six languages, available on the website, and rankings are published only if sufficient reviews have been posted for the given course. And a ‘Recommended’ certificate is only awarded to a golf club if it has received a rating of at least 7.5 (out of 10) on at least 10 reviews.
