Braemar Golf is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hartshorne as Director of Golf for Golf Club Zavidovo, PGA National Russia. David will be Braemar Golf’s on the ground representative who will oversee Braemar Golf’s pre opening services which include the grow-in of the golf course, the recruitment of the management and operating team, pre opening marketing services, procurement of all of the operating equipment and establishing all of the operating systems and procedures. PGA National Russia is scheduled to open in mid 2012.
David, who is originally from New Zealand, has had a long and distinguished career in the golf industry, commencing as a tour player in the 1980’s. David’s career has seen him heavily involved with the New Zealand PGA, held numerous Director of Golf positions in New Zealand and more recently he has been General Director of Cua Lo Golf Resort in Vietnam.

The golf course at Golf Club Zavidovo, PGA National Russia is due to open in the summer of 2012. The club recently announced a 5 years sponsorship deal with leading Russian professional golfer Maria Verchenova to be the “face” of the club and to assist in the development and promotion of the game in Russia.

Golf Club ZAVIDOVO, PGA National Russia is the centre piece of a 1,300 ha master-planned community in Tver Region of Russia, on the shores of the Ivankovskoye reservoir adjoining the Volga River, 90 km away from Moscow.
