The company will be led by Ed Holofcener, President of Golf Zoo, from its corporate headquarters in Owings Mills, Maryland. Rick Myles, General Manager of Golf Holidays International, will assume a management position in the organization.
Golf Zoo, leading the way in marketing golf travel packages on the Internet, is a pioneer in the golf travel industry. Golf Holidays International, “the best in golf travel” since 1974, has a proud heritage serving clients first in Canada and then in the United States for the last 14 years. “The idea of this merger was appealing from the very beginning. Golf Zoo’s marketing savvy and local sales knowledge combined with the international appeal and strong base of travel agent relationships at Golf Holidays International will ensure that this new partnership will continue to be a trendsetter in the golf travel industry for years to come,” said Ed Holofcener. The combined company will continue to leverage its success with the golf travel community from the United States, Canada and all over the world.
The combined sales staff will be led by Chris Parcell, Vice President of Golf Zoo, out of the Scottsdale, Arizona, office, and will maintain its focus on superior customer service by demonstrating its thorough knowledge of outstanding golf destinations in North America and overseas. The company will continue to operate www.golfzoo.com and www.golfholidaysintl.com and its dozens of private label websites. The combined organization will maintain its memberships in ASTA, ASTA TOP, ACTA, NAGTOA and IAGTO.
