Restaurant Le Kempf, part of the well known Kempferhof Golf Resort, has ensured the culinary knowledge and skills of famous Chef Jean-Yves Schillinger for the 2011 season. Schillinger will not only design the menu but also train the kitchen team of Executive Chef Stéphane Friedmann on a continuously base.

Before taking charge of the long time family owned restaurant, in the picturesque Alsatian town of Colmar Jean-Yves Schillinger worked at La Côte Basque Restaurant in New York City. Little after that he opened his own restaurant in the Big Apple.
Schillinger, who is trained by the best (three star Michelin Chefs Jöel Robuchon and Gérard Boyer), returns to France after seven years to open his JY’S Restaurant. Thanks to his contemporary cuisine he receives the much desired star in the Michelin Guide.
Now Kempferhof guests can enjoy his fine culinary arts right on the golf course. Jean-Yves Schillinger has taken on the challenge with great enthusiasm to train the kitchen crew of Le Kempferhof and design the restaurant menu.

In 2009 and 2010 the Kempferhof hotel and restaurants were fully renovated. The Kempferhof hotel and restaurants offer an impressive 18-hole golf course, 3 rooms and 8 suites in the 17th century castle, 16 designer rooms in the ‘Annexe’, an informal Bistrot, the gastronomic restaurant Le Kempf, a cosy bar, a terrace overlooking holes 9 and 18, several functions and seminar rooms and a Pro Shop.
The hotel is situated barely 15 kilometres from Strasbourg, in a region renowned for its hospitality, its wines and its cuisine. The cities of Baden-Baden and Colmar are also within easy reach for pleasant, interesting excursions. Le Kempferhof is member of ‘Opus Golf’.
