Spain’s largest golf complex, La Cala Resort, has presented an award to the U.K.-based company Yourgolftravel.com in recognition of its achievement of “Most Improved Tour Operator” in bringing golfers to the resort during 2009. The new awards scheme was introduced to coincide with Spain’s recent presidency of the European Union. According to La Cala’s Leisure Director, José Navas: “We are a truly cosmopolitan resort with people representing 17 different countries resident in the complex. Every year we are developing more and more ties with different countries and we wanted to reflect this with the awards scheme,”
Yourgolftravel.com Product Director, Andrew Smith was presented with the award by La Cala Resort’s UK representative, Doreen Boulding at an industry function held during the recent British Open.
